• Experience: 3+ years of experience in a FinOps, cloud cost management, or related role, preferably with hands-on experience in Azure environments.
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud services, pricing models, and cost management tools (e.g., Azure Cost Management + Billing, Azure Advisor).
• Familiarity with cloud architecture, infrastructure, and best practices for cost optimization.
• Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling, particularly in relation to cloud services.
• Ability to analyze large data sets, interpret trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

We are seeking a FinOps Analyst with a strong understanding of Azure cloud environments to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and financial acumen, with a focus on cost optimization, resource management, and financial analysis of cloud usage. This role is crucial in helping our organization achieve cost efficiency, transparency, and accountability in our cloud operations.

Your responsibilities:

Cloud Cost Optimization:

• Analyze Azure cloud usage and expenditure across the organization.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings through rightsizing, reserved instances, and other optimization techniques.
• Implement cost-saving measures and continuously monitor the effectiveness of these strategies.

  Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Work closely with finance and IT teams to develop accurate forecasting models for cloud spending.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting on cloud expenses, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain dashboards that provide insights into cloud cost trends and optimization opportunities.

  Governance & Best Practices:

• Establish and enforce cloud cost management policies and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that best practices for cost management are integrated into cloud architecture and operational processes.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on cost management practices and tools.

  Technical Collaboration:

• Partner with cloud architects, engineers, and developers to understand the technical architecture and workload requirements.
• Propose architectural changes or alternative cloud services that could reduce costs while meeting performance requirements.
• Assist in the evaluation and implementation of cloud cost management tools and platforms.

  Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for cloud cost-related queries and issues.
• Communicate cloud cost management strategies and results to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
