• Relevant vocational IT training (e.g., IT specialist) or a comparable IT degree.

• Significant professional experience in UNIX/Linux system administration and operation.

• Strong knowledge of common Linux distributions, especially AIX, RedHat, and SuSE.

• LPIC certification is desirable.

• Understanding of virtualization technologies (PowerVM, VMware ESX) and containerization.

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform.

• Solid understanding of IT security principles.

• Basic knowledge of network technologies and firewalls. 

• Ability to quickly understand complex issues and extract key information from departmental requirements.

• Self-motivated approach to standardization and documentation.

• Strong service and customer orientation; willingness to participate in on-call duty.

• Excellent teamwork skills and fluency in English (written and spoken)

• Maintain optimal performance and availability of primarily virtualized Linux/UNIX systems (AIX, RedHat, SuSE).

• Perform monitoring and performance analysis using Nagios, Prometheus, and Grafana; conduct troubleshooting and error analysis.

• Operate Kubernetes clusters (RedHat OpenShift) and provide support to DevOps teams.

• Support the HPC cluster and related specialized software (Ansys, MSC).

• Develop and manage systems for internal IT and cloud platforms.

• Implement standardization and automation of system environments utilizing tools like Bash, Python, Perl, Ansible, and Terraform.

• Manage OS patch deployment.

• Participate in all phases of relevant projects, including planning, execution, and support.
