• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years in architecting and building Data Lake solutions, Azure Big Data architecture, or Enterprise Analytics platforms.
• Expertise in at least two of the following: SQL, TSQL, Python, pySpark, Hive, HDFS.
• Proficiency in Azure tools (e.g., Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, ML, SQL Data Warehouse) or equivalent Open Source technologies (Kafka, Spark, Blob Storages).
• Knowledge and experience working with relational databases for data querying and retrieval.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code).
• Profound knowledge of Data Quality and resolving related issues.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, German is a plus.

The Data Team at Viessmann develops and deploys innovative analytical algorithms powered by data from our IoT products. In this role, you’ll contribute across the full stack - from designing data pipelines and processing workflows to creating impactful user-facing applications.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, build, and manage an Azure-based Data Platform.
• Process and analyze multiple terabytes of IoT and other domain data using stream and batch processing.
• Collaborate with experienced data engineers and scientists to craft and maintain high-traffic analytical applications.
• Develop data models and transform raw data into scalable, actionable insights.
• Build robust data pipelines with state-of-the-art technologies in the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Implement and deploy algorithms alongside data scientists using tools like Spark, Hive, HDFS, and the Azure Stack.
